Experience

Thomas Atwood, Director of the University of Toledo Press, also serves as the Dean and Professor of the University Libraries. He has published and presented nationally on information literacy, critical thinking, the function of collections, and library outreach to transfer students and student veterans. His works appear in theJournal of Academic Librarianship, College & Undergraduate Libraries, Children's Literature,and theJournal of Religious & Theological Information.

Additionally, he has served on the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) Instruction for Diverse Populations Committee and as a mentor for ACRL’s “Your Research Coach” Program for over a decade. Atwood holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Philosophy from Youngstown State University.
