Transfer Student
Looking to transfer to °µÍø½ûÇø? We can help. Our transfer specialists simplify the transfer process, maximize the number of credits that you can transfer to °µÍø½ûÇø, and help you earn your degree smoothly and quickly! We want to make your transition to °µÍø½ûÇø as seamless as possible.
How to apply:
- Submit an application
- Send official documents. Request official transcripts from all colleges you've attended. Transcripts should be sent via an electronic transcript service or emailed by the college to admprocessing@utoledo.edu

Attend college as a first-time student after a gap year or more
Adult Student
If you have never attended college after earning your high school diploma or GED, whether you have taken a gap year or it has been years since graduating high school, you are considered an adult student.
How to apply:
- Submit an application
- Send official documents. Request official transcripts from all colleges you've attended. Transcripts should be sent via an electronic transcript service or emailed by the college to admprocessing@utoledo.edu
Return to °µÍø½ûÇø to finish my degree
Readmit Student
If you have attended °µÍø½ûÇø and have been away for two consecutive terms (excluding summer), you are considered a readmit student.Ìý
How to apply:
- Submit an application. When starting an application, select 'Readmission application'
Please note: If you have attended another university after leaving °µÍø½ûÇø, please follow the transfer admission process.
Take a class at °µÍø½ûÇø and transfer those credits to my college or university
Guest Student
If you would like to take a class at °µÍø½ûÇø and transfer those credits back to your current college or university, you are considered a guest student.Ìý
How to apply:Ìý
- Identify the course you would like to take using the .Ìý
- Submit an application. When starting an application, select the 'Nondegree application'. Within the application, you will need to select that you are a 'Guest student'.
- Submit documents to show good academic standing at your current college or university.
The following are considered acceptable proof of good academic standing:Ìý
- (Preferred): An official or unofficial, current transcript verifying a GPA of 2.0 or higher.Ìý
- A letter attesting to your academic standing with the signature of a dean, department chairperson or registrar.
NOTE: To register for courses with prerequisites, guest students must provide transcripts or grade cards to verify they have completed the necessary prior coursework.
Take a class at °µÍø½ûÇø for personal or professional development without earning a °µÍø½ûÇø degree
Non-Degree Students
If you are interested in taking classes at °µÍø½ûÇø for professional or personal development and are not looking to obtain a degree, you are considered a non-degree student.Ìý
How to apply:Ìý
- Identify the course you would like to take using the .Ìý
- Submit an application. When starting an application, select the 'Nondegree application'. Within the application, you will need to select that you are a 'Non-degree student'.
